Welcome to Twenty3Thirty2 - Late Night Doods – Gallery and Archive.

I like to doodle. Not unlike all Illustrators, I doodle. For work and development, practice and pleasure, purpose and irrelevance… you never know how or when an idea might manifest. So, I keep that doodle hand busy. I doodle…
I doodle a lot.

Late at night, after the day has made its noise and I’m ready to unwind, on goes a film or a binge ready series and out comes a Sketchbook, a Sharpie and some ProMarkers and I doodle some more. It’s a comfort, an absent-minded creative outlet that relaxes and calms after a full day. It’s never a chore, it’s never a must-do and it’s never work… It’s an organic habit that has brought a modicum of serenity to an over active mind and imagination.

I like it… I like to doodle.

Anyways…

One night, one late night, I posted a photo of one of these doodles to a specific photo based social media app and named it “Late Night Doodle”. It got a couple of likes (4 to be precise), and “Late Night Doodle 2” soon followed “…Doodle 3”, then “…Doodle 4” and so on and so forth… There was no endgame, just posts of whatever I doodled, shared with my family and close friends… nothing more, nothing less.

That was, at the time of this writing, just over 2 years ago…

Since then there have been a few changes.

Firstly, “Late Night Doodle” has become “Late Night Doods”. One letter less to type and stylized to stand out that would later provide a phonetic in joke for future posts. Secondly, an iPad Pro, Apple Pencil and the awesome app Procreate. The Sketchbooks, Sharpies and ProMarkers still play a part but for ease of use and accessibility, theses digital accessories, applications and extensions rule all… at least, for me they do. I can’t recommend them enough.

The biggest and most notable change comes in the form of this site… It was never my intention to share these doodles further than with those who follow me via the aforementioned photo based social media app. But I feel the need to archive it all in some way past the quick photo or filtered post I’ve been doing so far.

…And so, here it is. Here is that archive. An archive that will grow, as with time and content will be added to the Digital and Analogue Gallery as often as possible. Feel free to explore and take a look. There’s a whole bunch of Doodles still to upload and I’ve a few ideas that are in their infancy to flesh out and actualise that will be included when ready… I’m still unsure of the potential, but, like I mentioned, there’s no endgame other than to archive… At the moment, that’s the idea. At the moment, that’s enough.
